Flower Boy Next Door ★ Synopsis

Short summary of the scenes in all 16 episodes of Flower Boy Next Door, for those who cannot watch the series for themselves for reasons unknown, but also because this is a nice way of keeping track of e.g. references, foreshadowing, etc. - It has been written for my sake only actually, but someone will propably find this useful someday -- a very beautiful day that may or may not come (O v Q).

Episode 1
Go Dok-mi is a frugal, freelance editor with sociophobia/anthropophobia (fear of society and/or people) to the extent of refusing to leave her apartment unless necessary. While out one day she falls for handsome Han Tae-joon who at the time adopted an abonded puppy (Hippo), whom Go Dok-mi endearingly calls Blackie since she did not have the nerve to ask Han Tae-joon, being the introvert that she is. Upon her return home, she notices her new crush living in the apartment complexion across the street and believes it to be fate. She has since secretly spied on him with her cute yellow binocular she bought the same day she first saw him.

Webtoon artist Oh Jin-rak lives next door of Go Dok-mi. He and his colleague Oh Dong-hoon have just finished their latest webtoon "Zombie Soccer," but it was dropped since it plagiarised a video game by Enrique Geum. A desperate Oh Jin-rak delivers a new story right there and then based on his now three year long crush (Go Dok-mi) to persuade his editor-in-charge Kim Seul-gie, naming it Flower Boy Next Door.

At the same time Enrique Geum arrives in Korea with his neighbour, Yoon Seo-young. During his time in Korea he decides to stay at his cousin, Han Tae-joon's, place. Other than work, he has come to Korea in order to shoot "Cupid's arrow", being matchmaker for Yoon Seo-young (cough first love) and Han Tae-joon. A day passes and while his cousin is out, Enrique catches Go Dok-mi spying on his cousin's apartment and rushes over to confront her.

That same day, a new neighbour from Japan named Watanabe Ryū moves into the apartment opposite of Go Dok-mi's. He has come to Seoul to learn Korean culinary arts, and with all these handsome men suddenly entering her life, Go Dok-mi's solitary and orderly world is turned upside down.

Episode 2
To be continued... I might write the rest, but hey, the Internet is a big place. I'm sure you'll find something.
